Ibadan, Nigeria — In commemoration of this year’s International Day of the Boy-child, Boys Without Borders Nigeria is pleased to announce the 2024 Chidera Anushiem Essay Contest.
This essay contest, made possible by the benevolence of Mr. Chidera Anushiem and Writinova, is open to male undergraduate students in Nigeria.
The inaugural Chidera Anushiem Annual Essay Contest will be open for submissions between April 13, 2024 and May 11, 2024.
The Modalities of the Essay Contest
This year’s essay contest will receive entries on the topic: Towards building a balanced future: the role of boy-child advocacy.
The top three entries will receive the grand prizes of N60, 000, N40, 000, and N20, 000 respectively, while shortlisted entrants will receive consolation prizes.
Essay Contest Guidelines
To qualify for the judging stage:
- Entries for the Chidera Anushiem Essay Contest should have a minimum of 1, 000 words and a maximum of 1, 500 words (excluding references)
- All entrants MUST follow Writinova and Boys Without Borders Nigeria on Instagram and Twitter to stay up to date on the essay contest timeline.
- Submit your essay to boyswithoutbordersng@gmail.com, with 2024 Chidera Anushiem Essay Contest as the email subject and your NAME, SCHOOL, LEVEL, and Twitter and Instagram handles in the body of the email
